The colors used to denote score relative to par -- purple for double bogey, orange for birdie (whatever they are) don't follow any kind of discernible scheme, so when I look at a scorecard all I see is a bunch of colors without any meaning ... I have to look at the score and par. Why not keep par neutral, then use greens for under par and reds for over par -- ie, dark green for albatross, a medium green for eagle, light green for birdie; and light red for bogey, medium red for double, dark for other.... I think it would be much easier to understand visually.

You're not the first to ask about this.

There was mention of oob switching over to circles and squares, but haven't heard or seen much about it since.

I would love to see a different scheme.

Let me explain the colors...

Birdie is a bright and happy color, Par is cheerful, bogie is a little blah, double bogie is purple like a bruise and triple bogie + is a shit colored box.

Perfect sense...

lol TeT

I don't have a problem with the colors. Once you get used to it it is easier than just circles and squares to get a pretty good view of a round.

Sure circles and square may be harder to understand when glancing at the score.

But it sure would be nice to have some rhyme/reason to the colors...

for example:

That can't be a hard thing to change. Just put it to a vote... then the 12 of us who actually spend time in these forums can make a decision.

I honestly like how it is now. Am used to the color scheme.

We actually do refer to a x3 bogie or worse as a "shit colored box" when we are out on the course...

First of all, 12 is estimating rather high.

Secondly, I vote for squares and circles.

Look at the pga.com scorecards
eagle = dark blue
birdie = light blue
par = white
bogey = gold
double = copper
MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!
