I was wondering what you folks put for a fairway drive if you miss a dogleg by going long or short? I have been just marking it as a miss, as opposed to left or right, is that common? Anyone have a better way to do it that they can share?

I do the same, depending on the dogleg. with a slight dogleg right, for instance, if i go long, i'll mark it as a miss left.

If I miss long or short on a dogleg, I mark it miss.

Same thing for fairway bunkers? MISS?, or left or right depending on which side of the fairway?

I ended up in a fairway bunker that is almost in the middle of the fairway last week. I hit an awesome drive, straight as an arrow. The ground is extremely hard here right now so I got 30 extra yards of roll...right into the bunker. It killed me to take a MISS on that one.

Man that's rough. I would've marked that just as a miss also. Bunkers in the fairway, the game is hard enough as it is! Guess it's better than a bunker in the middle of the green like that course the Pros play.

For doglegs, I mark which side of the fairway I missed on, left or right. I only use miss for cross-hazards, or not reaching the fairway.
