The colors used to denote score relative to par -- purple for double bogey, orange for birdie (whatever they are) don't follow any kind of discernible scheme, so when I look at a scorecard all I see is a bunch of colors without any meaning ... I have to look at the score and par. Why not keep par neutral, then use greens for under par and reds for over par -- ie, dark green for albatross, a medium green for eagle, light green for birdie; and light red for bogey, medium red for double, dark for other.... I think it would be much easier to understand visually.

There was mention of oob switching over to circles and squares, but haven't heard or seen much about it since.

Let me explain the colors...

Birdie is a bright and happy color, Par is cheerful, bogie is a little blah, double bogie is purple like a bruise and triple bogie + is a shit colored box.

Perfect sense...

I don't have a problem with the colors. Once you get used to it it is easier than just circles and squares to get a pretty good view of a round.

Sure circles and square may be harder to understand when glancing at the score.

But it sure would be nice to have some rhyme/reason to the colors...

First of all, 12 is estimating rather high.

Secondly, I vote for squares and circles.

eagle = dark blue
birdie = light blue
par = white
bogey = gold
double = copper
