How are course layout changes handled?

There is a course I play that is changing. One of the holes is changing from a par 4 to par 5 and another hole is going to par 3 from a par 4.

Do I have to enter a 'new' course so that all of the information from the past doesn't get messed up?

That's an interesting question. Especially as I found a course in North Yorkshire that has 29 holes, from which they pick 18 to make up the course on the day you play. As I had no idea how the Oob App would handle that I played somewhere else!
