Yesterday on a par 3 I hit a shot onto the green. One of my buddies also hit a shot onto the green, making a ball mark right in between my ball and the hole. The ball mark was blocking my putt. I repaired the mark, but is that allowed under the rules?

Ball marks are ok, spike marks are not.
