Player. Please name the course that has a par three for an opening hole.

You are correct, however I don't think of a pitch and putt, as a real golf course. They're more of a practice facility for beginners. I've never seen a real golf course start out with a par 3. Perhaps you should go to an actual 18 hole golf course where the clientelle has learned a little more about proper etiquette.

My regular practice course, Prairiewood, opens with a par 3. I hate it.

I know that there was a regulation par 71 or 72 course I played over the past couple of years that opened with a par three, but I'm struggling to remember which it was given that I've played some 80 courses over the past three years. Of course, my favorite opening hole was hole number one at the New Salem Country Club in New Salem, North Dakota. It was about 650 yards, but it was all on a steady and steep downhill slope. It was possible to hit a 400 yard drive on that hole, and I saw the green reached in two on many occasions. It darn well could have been a par 4. I'm not sure if they changed the hole since I was a kid, as they updated the sand greens to real grass about 15 years ago, but I'm dying to play that course again.

King`s Ridge has a big course as well as a short course with 15 par 3`s, including the 1st, and 3 par 4`s.

I know of two: Kirkbymoorside (in Yorkshire) and Addington Palace (in Surrey).

Seems like a stupid idea, if you ask me!
