I've been using this thing for about a month and so far I love it! Here's the link

SkyCaddie SG5

What I've found most useful is the ability to track your shot distances. It made a huge difference in my game, I realize now that all my estimates were about 20 yards more than I actually hit. Pretty Crazy.

Anyone else using SkyCaddie?

I bought the Skycaddie when it first came out. It has a serial port connector. My new Vaio laptop doesn't have a serial port, so I had to get an adapter to go to the USB. Long story short, if you have this adapter and your skycaddie connection stops working after a while, as mine did, you may have to update the adapter driver. Had to do this today. Yes you are very right about it improving your game, knowing the correct distance

I've been using a my SG5 for two months now. I agree that is improves your game by giving you more than one distance on any shot you hit and by enabling you to get accurate distances you hit each of your clubs. It is a pain in the a*s to play the guessing game on what club to hit and pace off distances from the yardage markers. Every golfer should have this information on the course.

I bought the SG2.5 in winter and am now lost without it. It certainly makes a liar out of you in regards to how far you hit the ball. No wonder I was always short from 150yds.
