I though par 6s were fairly rare well I was searching on the internet and found some golf course are making par 7s. Is this true? Anyone ever been to a course with a par 6 or 7?

Cherry Creek Links Course out by the Hamptons has a par 6. Really just a long par 5, only 500 on the card.

Hmmmm, I thought all par 5's were par 7's, since that's what I usually score on those long holes! So then if I happen to card a 5, it's an EAGLE!

I played a course in Fredericksburg Virginia that had a par 6 about 800 yards - It was called Meadow farms, It was a dog track.

I think I took an 8 on the hole

I thought it was very gimicky

They also had a par 3 that was made up to look like a baseball field - the tee box was at Home plate and the green in center field - it had HR fences & all.

I don't think i will play there again

Was that the same course that had a windmill on #9 and the dancing tulips on #14? To me a theme course is ridiculous. I wouldn't play there either, unless my kid wanted to.

Hey terps and dave, those courses must have been inspired by Caddyshack II
