I think that it is important to set realistic goals when achieveing anything in life. If you look at my handicap average over the last three years I have averaged about 4 strokes a year.
Keep in mind that the more you play and post scores, the faster your handicap rises or falls depending on your game plan of lessons, going it alone.....etc to improve your game prior to ever getting on the course.
Also, keep in mind that the ScratchGolfFanatics group goal of decreasing our "group" handicap average by 10 strokes or more...is very acheiveable based on the sheer numbers and demograhics of our membership which includes handicappers as high as 15.
We will really be depending on all the 15-12 handicappers to really put forth a big effort in trying to shave strokes off their game for 2009 and any gains made by the 12-10 handicappers down to a 0 handicap will be gravy.
