|
|
So i've been looking for this putter for a number of years now. I just remembered that i broke mine a while back when it was in the golf team van with everyone else's clubs (bags fell). Now that i know i'm not going to find it in any parent's basement or didn't loan it out, maybe someone could help me.
It's a Knight putter. Black Nickel finish with a Milled Copper insert in the face. It's a "Touchstar" series putter. Blade putter, not mallet.
If anyone has seen a putter like this or may have one for sale, let me know. I'm not really picky on the condition other than the face should be in good shape. thanks! send a pic or let me know.

Can't help ya Chris, but when you give up, try out the new Ping Anser Milled line. They feel so right! (At least to me anyway.)

well it's not that i want to change, but i see my swing going back to when i was in high school. the lessons at golftec are getting me back to the way i used to swing, and in high school with that putter i was draining EVERYTHING. i regularly had rounds with 28 putts and anything 10 feet and in was pretty much automatic. I need that back and it was such a nice fit i figured i would at least try to give it a shot. Who knows.

So i can't find my original putter anywhere online or in bargain bins. However, i did find one made by another company that is very very similar. Turns out it's darn near the actual putter. Made by a company called "faultless". I put it head to head against all my current putters and it has a spread of 8" as opposed to my Odyssey's 20". I don't have the pull tendency with the new putter at all and it rolls just as well if not better than my super duper 2 ball insert. All told, $30 after regripping. I'll take it and run. I can't wait to take it on a real test. Feels more comfortable in the hand and it's easier to square up the face and know what i did wrong on a putt. No "toe over" either like i tend to do with the mallet.

If I am not mistaken, Knight equipment can be purchased at both K Mart and Big 5 stores. Lots of luck

well, the proof will be in the stats i guess. I'm looking forward to finding out too. Now if only this awful weather would give way to some golf-quality goodness on days that i can actually GET OUT, that would be amazing.

I believe I own the putter you're looking for. Knight Touchstar, black nickel copper face?

yea that's the one. The blade style with the flat back view, not the one that's "pinched" in the middle

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "pinched". I just took some pictures but my camera won't stay on long enough for me to upload them. Batteries are on charge as we speak.

That's such a great putter! The one i was talking about pinching, If you're looking at it from address over the ball, the back looks like a B instead of straight down like the club above.

I could email you the pics if you're interested in taking a look? It was given to me about 10 years ago by a comedian from Ireland named Roy Walker. He's a comedy legend that you may have heard of. At the time I didn't play golf but that gift is what kick started what will prove to be a lifetime obsession with the game.
