I must admit to liking the US masters, beautiful courses and wickedly fast greens.I have the utmost admiration for any european pro to play these tough course, having said that it probably works with our links courses over here Birkdale,Troon, ect. exposed to the elements as i know it's a tester for most American pros to get to grips with them apart from watson,Nicklaus and co over the years. But all in all i still think my vote goes to the US for just having some astonishingly good Open courses. And one more thing our British open this year is Lytham and St Annes,nr Blackpool, the northwest riviera,Remember 1979

I watched Tom Watson on Feherty the other night where he said he hated the British Open courses the first few times but he learned to love them. He finally realized that he was good enough not to change the way he played them. Just adapted to the roll and bounce and the weather conditioned and took what the course would give him. Sound advice for all of us I think.

The Masters is not an Open. You can't get in without an invitation from Augusta. A few amatuers are invited, but very few.

I like both the Open Championship and the US Open. It's hard for me to pick one over the other, but I think if you put a gun to my head I'd have to pick the US Open. There is a part of me that enjoys watching the best in the world struggle with the game the same way I do.

Personally, I would like to see the 4th major (the PGA) moved. I'd like it pulled out of the US and turned into a version of the Masters, played every year at the same time on the same course. Call it the Old Course Masters, and play it at St. Andrews. Everybody (or at least I do) always looks forward to the Open Championship a little more when it's at the Home of Golf, and I think that the it would be great for that course to be showcased every year.

Ranking My favorite Majors:

- The Masters - partly because it is the first one....??

- The US Open - tough test of golf, love seeing the pro's sweat and grind it out.

- British Open - love the courses they play but I believe that the coverage is poor...

- PGA - don't really care about it...
