Let me paint the picture for you. IÆm playing at Hershey Links this morning on a light rainy day. I was on the 16 hole. A par five that is cut in half by a ravine that drops 30 ft. I hit the drive over the ravine (I was actually pretty impressed with the drive) and took the golf cart down the hill following the cart path. The cart path was curving around the bend when I lost control of the cart. I spun 360 degrees twice falling over the ledge. The drop at this point was at least 15 feet. I bailed out of the cart falling before the drop while the cart hit a tree root and dangled on the edge. My heart was pounding. A grounds keeper on the next hole and came over to see if I was alright. Still in shock, I helped him get the cart back on the cart path. At first I was embarrassed, but he told me it happens all the time on this hole. Now thinking about it, IÆm a little pissed. I could have seriously been hurt or even broken my neck if I did not bail out.
The purpose of this post it to give anyone playing there a heads up and if it were you would you be embarrassed or pissed?
