Hi,
I like the OOB golf app, there's a few too many crashes on my Google Galaxy Nexus phone (ICS 4.0.1) just browsing through the OOB menus, but I could live with these.
However, one thing I didn't realize is that you need cell connection in order to use the app. This makes the app useless for at least 50% of the courses that I play since they're in the boonies and cell phone reception is spotty at best. It seems like it should be a simple matter to add the feature to let me download the course data while I'm still at home and then use it "offline" while I play. My GPS signal is still strong at all of these courses its just my cell reception that sucks. Also with the periodic crashing I'd need the ability to save the course data to memory in case the app crashed, so that when I started it up again I could load it from memory. Actually it'd be really nice to store the data for all of my favourite courses to memory on my phone. Any chance of a feature like this? I'm afraid that without it, the app isn't worth the $20 price for the GPS yardages when I can't use them half the time.
Thanks!
