Why do we get one post after another about Tiger this and that and when TMaG (Taylor Made adidas Golf) buys Adams for $70m all we hear are crickets chirping?
Nate, you need to step up your game and report more interesting golf news.

Hmm....my favorite golf manufacturer (Adams) got bought out by my second favorite golf manufacturer (Taylor Made)? And all it cost was $70 million?

Yep Bryan, a paltry $70m. Plus, heard yesterday that Callaway just or recently bought TopFlight to get the dimple in dimple technology.
I'd just like to know, where's the real golf news?

If by "just recently" you mean like 10 years ago, then yes Callaway "recently" bought Topflite. It does beg the question, "why doesn't Callaway utilize dimple in dimple technology in their own marketed balls?" I love how soft the gamer v2 is, but dimple in dimple sounds like a gimmick.

carv,
Mate, I only heard about that on Thursday. My golf partner told me about it but didn't say when...he must be living in a time warp.

I'm trying Beef.
What does the lottery jackpot of $640m have to do with the game of golf or the golf industry? I'd venture to say nothing, yet, there it is on the front page of the site.
Nate, it's not personal at all, I just think that this being a golf site, the stories should be about the golf world.
If you want leads on golf stories, let me know, I'll be more than willing to looking around for that sort of thing for you and pass them on...as a member of the site not an employee.

I don't think this is a news-focused website. I don't come here for the news, but what they do post I feel is decent enough... It's not like the writers are paid are they???
I would think its all volunteer....

Tim,
Oob is owned by Skygolf (Skycaddie). This site among other things, is Nate's paid job.

When did that happen?I thought Oob just sold them the rights to the software for their site?

So all the writers are paid though???
Still doesn't change my opinion...
Onto bigger things... If this is owned by Skycaddie, let's invest in a redesign (more color in this place), and work on the scripting to allow better functionality on apple devices!
I'll expect to see progress by noon.

Andrew was working for them until he went to Florida or wherever. Not sure about Nate, but I suspect he was with Skygolf before Oob. I've seen him on the Skycaddie forums as a tech/admin for a few years. One big reason I trust the Oob rangefinder is it's Skycaddie based.

Well Nate is. I would imagine he's an IT guy and obviously a golf nut, if I'm right, he's the admin for Skycaddie too. I think he's the only paid employee for the site because aside from Terry, he's the only one I see doing articles beside the guys doing their blog type posts.
I'd like to see a bit of a freshen up too and an update every once in a while of the gps software.

Obviously, not everyone is going to like every post, but I appreciate feedback. If you read a story that you think should be on oob, send it to me at nathan@oobgolf.com.
