Took delivery of the new sticks Saturday - MP-59's with PX 5.5 shafts. Took 1 and a half range sessions to get them down, but when I did, all I can says is ... WOW!

These are some nice feeling golf clubs. Never played Mizuno before - these are taking the place of a much loved but well-worn set of Hogan Apex Plus irons. The Hogans have a wonderful feel to them, but the MP-59's feel substantial.

That lovely little "click" when you catch the sweet spot is better than sex and almost as good as sweet corn!

Can see why Luke Donald bags 'em.

What were your old irons?

Hogan Apex Plus -- vintage '99 or '00 or there abouts, with the Apex 4 shaft. Nice set, but time for them to move on to backup status.

Consider your self green! Still working to get the feel of these buggers -- hit a few flush today - ooh, baby. Even the mis-hits weren't terrible.

Nice clubs. They're on the short list for my next set.(currently playing Adams A3 (GI) set that I got 4 1/2 yrs ago).

Just went to a demo day yesterday and ordered a set of these. First time I was custom set for irons and they felt incredible. This was long overdue since I've only had one set of irons, Maxfli Revolution Black Dots that I got for high school golf 12 years ago.
I went with the intent of getting 1 of 3 sets on my list, Taylormade R11, Cleveland 588 forged CB, and the MP-63's. I didn't even know about the MP-59's but after hitting them it was an easy choice. Its also a very sexy looking iron.
This is going to be the longest week ever waiting for them to arrive at my doorstep!
