First off, absolutely love the site.

I am dying to be able to set up my own tournament through oobgolf. I have a yearly golf trip with my buddies (also on oob) and need a way to track our net scores at 4 different courses over 4 days. This is similar to the live leaderboard request in the forums, but I don't need it to be live.

It could be as simple as being able to create a tournament as you can currently, but letting the "owner/creator" of the tourney have control over setup: lock editing the scores, adding/inviting other users to the tourney, adding courses, etc.

It could also be a 'group' function, it would just need to be selective over what scores count towards the tourney (e.g, with 'group' currently it counts every round i've played this year).

The tourney 'owner' could enter all the scores, or the individual oob users could log on and input, either way i want it to be linked to everyone's oob accounts, so that we can track net scores (have course handicaps applied based on the individual).

Again, I think you're on to something. Thanks for your suggestion.

+1 to live tournament scoring.

Another way to do it might be to incorporate a live leaderboard into the group function. Might not be as elegant, but you could create a group for each instance of a tournament.

It might clutter things up a bit, but it also might be easier to implement.
