|
|
I can only speak from the Android perspective...
My setup: Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4x (ICS)
Bugs:
1) Sometimes, on startup, when I click "View Stats" (like when I want to show someone) it will crash. Sometimes two or three times before it works.
2) I wish I knew how to reproduce this one, but I can get in a situation where I cannot click on my scores anymore. I am in the "Scores" tab of view stats, and clicking on a score does not bring up any details.
3) Again, sometimes (wish I could be more specific), it crashes when navigating between pages (like from stats to my game, etc.
Feature Requests:
1) Past scorecards. I can't believe this hasn't been implemented already?
2) Charts. Basically, similar features as the website. (which would be great if you got rid of FLASH as the presentation platform).
That's all for now. I'm surprised there isn't more chatter on these apps since I haven't noticed an update in ages.
I "send" in my crash reports but I've seen or heard nothing about an update.
Luckily, I have only experienced one crash DURING a round.

Thanks for the info. I would recommend closing the app if it continues to crash. I'm not sure how you "hard shut down" an app on Android. On the iPhone, you can double tap the "home" button and hold down the oobgolf app until a red X appears. You press the red X to close it.
You can also try deleting the app and re-downloading it.

You can view past scorecards on the oobgolf app. Click on "View Stats" on the app home page, and then click on "Scores". If you can't see the past scores, then clear the app data. Click "Settings" on the home page, and then "Clear" next to "App Data".

I'm not sure why the Android version of the app does not include charts. The iPhone version includes a "Chart" section under the stats page. I'll make a note of it and make sure it gets added in the future.

Thanks for the reply.
When I select "View Stats", and then "Scores" I can see previous scores. However, when I click on a score, all I get is general stats for the score(GIR, Putts, etc). I do not see the actual scorecard (hole-by-hole scoring).

You need to rotate your phone to see the scorecard. Click on the score you want to see, then when you see the general stats (fairway %, etc) rotate it to the right and you'll see the scorecard.

Hmm, I just tried this but it didn't work. I cleared the app data and logged back in just in case, no scorecard when I rotate the phone.
My app version is 1.3.2 in case that is helpful.

I forgot you were using the Android app. Yea so rotating it won't display the scorecard. It's on my list of enhancements to make for the next Android update.

Nate,
When was the last update and do you announce them or are they automatic?

Has there been any further development or news to report on the next Android app update? Any idea when an update would be completed? A week, a month, 6 months, a year?

Armand Eglauer,
We're working on an update now. Let me see if I can find out a more specific timeline.

Can we volunteer to beta test the new version? I'd like to see it working on the galaxy S3 with android 4 as well....
