I just spent 5 mins thinking of something and I can't think of anything other then putting while my phone is ringing when i forget to put it on vibrate. Once while in a backswing of a putt my phone started going off, my ringtone is slipknot, I started singing along with it and sunk a 30 footer give or take.

Now baseball and football. Like never washing my undershirt during the season or having seeds in my mouth while in the field head butting other players shoulder pads with out the helmet (maybe not the best idea I've ever had lol).

I don't have any superstitions. In life or in golf.

I just try to keep a positive attitude all the time.

Makes me think of the lyrics to the Stevie Wonder song. "When you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer". The game alone is enough to screw with your head, why complicate it even more.

Precisely.

I need to fully understand what a change is going to do before I will implement it into my game. I am what is known as a convergent learner. I spend a lot of time conceptualizing, and then I learn through trial and error.

So where does superstition end and routine begin? Most professionals have a set routine and virtually all have a pre-shot routine. Fred Couples and his shirt tug could be deemed a superstition but he might view it as a useful part of his routine (gets his shirt collar out of his way and triggers his mind to start the address and then shot).

I could play with my watch and wedding ring on but I like just having the left hand deal with the glove and grip - no distractions.

I don't think that actions that are related to getting oneself into a rhythm would qualify as superstition.

no watch on, no wallet in my pocket. If i am wearing sunglasses they have to be taken off and set in the cart. Logo on ball faces target on tee shots.
