In our groups if I putt out first I always pick up the flag. If I putt out second I will pickup all of the clubs that are obvious to me and hand them to the correct player. It's just being polite.

occasionally I will place wedges on the flagstick, but most of the time I carry a towel with me to the green (with more than one club) and place grips on the towel somewhere between the hole and my cart.
As someone else said, I never lay a club in the rough always on the green. I know i could incure a penalty if hit but this is not likely, and would rather not lose a club.

I don't mind it. I've put my clubs on the flagstick quite a few times. I also have no problem getting the pin after the hole is done and i routinely pick up other peoples clubs for them as a courtesy, especially if they're older. It's more exercise for me and generally makes play faster. Odd thing is, i tend to play with people that forget clubs like mad. It's weird.

This would work great...except I'm constantly losing my putter cover.

If I knew someone was going to grab them for me, I'd forget 'em, too.

haha. maybe. They don't have any of the ideas mentioned in any of this thread though. Laying them all over creation. I'm like "2 wedges?? anybody?" the guy is already to the tee box. "oh yea...thanks!" haha.
