How does the shaft of a golf club affect the spin and launch angle of the ball and can these be affected independently of eachother?

I understand that the higher the kickpoint of the shaft the less "kick" there will be, thus producing a lower loft at impact and I also understand that the lower the torque the less ace rotation there will be creating less draw spin. Would love it if people could have some solid input on this. Was watching the memorial this weekend and on Sunday they commented that Tigers launch angle was 7.5*, SS 119, and spin was around 2200. He is playing a High Launch and low spin shaft. I understand he has a lot of lag at impact and is really delofting the club, but this has to be far from optimal. Chime in people.

The key is the shaft. Each shaft gives you different characteristics so you can optimize your shot. I am a bit steeper with my swing versus flat like a Matt Kuchar. To combat this, I could use a shaft that has a higher flex point (or kick point). Also, the stiffness of the shaft plays a part as well. A shaft that is too stiff might feel like you are swinging a telephone pole while one that is not stiff enough will feel like a buggy whip. The torque of a shaft is how much twisting is allowed. Faster swing speeds require a stiffer torque.

Launch monitors will give you all the stats that can be optimal for YOUR shot. This all depends on swing speed, ball speed, launch angle. The shaft is the engine that controls all these factors.

Was the 7.5* his launch angle, or the effective loft of the club? Just wondering if that is not counting the slightly upward angle of attack.

Seems like a low launch angle to me but I'm pretty clueless. Sorry
