Yup, its me again.
I know, too many questions, but this was interesting, and I thought i'd share and ask.
I will email Terry the Wedge Guy too, and see what he says.
A while back Terry wrote a good article about todays cavity irons vs blades, and how consistency and feel cannot be attained with cavity and we should go blade.
Talked about dialing in your irons, and how the cavity has a much much larger margin of error in a PERFECT shot, due to the cavity.
I talked to a few Professionals in a couple of shots, because I'm looking at Taylor Made's Tour Preferred line.
CB - Cavity Back
MC - Muscle Cavity
MB - Muscle Blade / Muscle Back
I believe they are all forged, but they still have slight cavitys to none... but thats when the guy said CAST clubs (ie non forged) can be very hit and miss, sometimes hot sometimes not, but the forged clubs are not like that.
They seemed to believe it wasn't the cavity but the casting that was the issue.
So, anyone know enough about cast vs forged to know if thats the difference with the blades (most blades being forged as far as i am aware).
One of the Pro Shop Guys played some Mizuno Forged and says he noticed the big jump when he went forged.
What does everyone think?
