i have been asking for this. Very Happy i think more people need to speak up to show interest. imo a sand save is one of the sweetest feelings in golf. it ranks up there with a birdie at this point in my game.

I third this request. Currently, I keep separate spreadsheets with other stats such as up-and-downs, sand saves and scrambling %. It would be great to have all of that info in oob!

regarding a SAND SAVE.....

I have always treated them as if you were in the sand
and either one putted or were able to save par still it was
a sand save...

now I see on another posting that says a SAND SAVE is when
you get out and can finish with 2 putts still...
that makes no sense to me, what if its a par 3/4
once your ball is in the sand, with 2 putts there's no way
your going to save PAR, its a Bogey so its not a save... agree

A sand save is when you make one putt after a shot from the sand. Therefore, even if you save par by ending up in a greenside bunker in 2 on a par 5, getting on the green and two-putting, this is not a sand save.

I remember commentators making this point when Sergio had a run of 8 or 9 sand saves in a row during a FedEx cup event and then broke that streak when he made par on a par 5 after the above scenario.

Sand Save: refers to a score where a player has a greenside bunker shot and a one-putt to score a par.

Sandy: When a golfer still makes their par after escaping from a sand hazard.

These are the true definitions and the difference between a SAVE and a SANDY.

We want sand save percentages, please.
