Quick question. On a par three, I am short of the green but dead center. Is this a fairway miss or a hit? How do you score a hit on a par three? If the answer is you dont, do we not enter anything on the stats sheet? Thanks for your help

I tried to enter this and apparently it does not count as a fairway hole. the system does not calculate it even if you enter it. smart system.

the way it seems to be on this site, and i agree with it, is that there is no fairway on a par 3. on a par 3 your first shot should be on the green, and you have 2 putts to make par. if you hit it in short grass but not on the green on a par 3, then it's just a missed green.

the way i make my on course score card, i put my score in the first row, and then fairway in the second, putts in the 3rd, sand shots in the fourth, penalties in the 5th, and club from tee in the 6th. the first thing i do before i tee off on hole 1 is put an X in all the boxes in the fairway row for any par 3's.

I mark my scorecard almost the same as chipotle. In my second row I enter my drive distance and include a arrow left or right if I miss the fairway. My third row I record the results of my approach shots with either a GIR or an arrow.
