looking for a starter set for my 14 year old boy. i want to start working with him this spring because next year he can join the highschool golf team.

Try Sports Authority. They have reasonable prices and the guys in my store are very knowledgeable.
If you want to spend a little cash, get him fitted first.

Definitely get him fitted - it will make a world of difference for him when starting out.
