I was wondering what ball works best for a low handicap and what works for a high handicap?

I just began using the Srixon Tri-Speed. Like it a lot and it's reasonably priced at around $20 per dozen.
Good feel off the tee and good carry. I can't get it to check on the green but, then again, I couldn't do that with a Pro V either.

I like to play a premium ball because I like the spin and control it gives me, but I do not like 'paying' for them. For my rounds thus far this year I've been playing the Srixon Z-URS, which I got a Golf Galaxy for 2 dz/$40 (essentially half price since the Z STAR came out). When I'm not playing those I typically use the Bridgestone e7+ (I've always hit the ball high), but I am still looking for the perfect combination of feel, ball flight, control and price. One of these days I'm going to suck it up and try the Bridgestone B330-RX.

Love the category choices.
I know it's hard because you can only make so many poll options but I love how a lot of good balls get thrown in with "water balls"- HAHA. _________________ Kickntrue-

i dont use anything exclusively, but i do prefer Bridgestone RX, Srixon AD333, ProV1x, and Top Flite Gamers. If none of those are available i'll use a Precept Laddie Extreme

I'm one of those people who would love to play a ProV1, but probably don't have a fast enough swing speed to get the right compression when I hit the ball. I've played a few ProV1's and I like 'em and all...but they are just too expensive for the kind of performance I get out of them.
I currently use almost exclusively the Callaway Warbirds because they are reasonably priced and they feel good when I hit them. They don't get quite the action I'd like around the greens, but then again, that could just be because I suck.

I have been playing the top-flite XL5000 soft and have been enjoying them. I bought a box of the Gamer V2s the other day and cannot wait to try them out. Maybe this weekend.

I really like to play Srixon Z-Star (X) and recently have played the Trispeed, Trispeed Tour. I used to play the Taylormade TP blacks, but they didnt last maybe 3 holes. Srixon is very durable and have always made a good ball.

I've been playing Top-Flite Gamers for the last year and I'm loving them. I left a review in another post in this forum (http://oobgolf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1287). I'm hovering around a 17 handicap, but I haven't played in a while so I'm hoping to cut it down even more this year.

It seems I am in the minority with my Nike Mojo's, but since my Bridgestone Tour balls arrived today (Thanks to Oobgolf for another great giveaway) then I will have to change my vote when spring finally arrives.

I have recently just started using the new Callaway Tour is ball. Just like the previous Tour i ball this new ball provides super feel and control with short irons and around the green shots. Nor only that it also provides low backspin off shots with my driver allowing for good distance. I have previously used Titleist Pro V1 and V1x but see that it is a ball that does not hold on any type of greens I play and spins way too much with the driver.[/quote]

I was using the latest Callaway Tour i(s) ball but have now recently swithed to the Taylormade TP Black. I find i get a lot quicker stop on harder or softer greens and increased distance due to less backspin.
