Inspired by reading some of the comments, I was wondering if perhaps we could have a forum here to advertise for charity events. I'm interested in participating in some of these if they are in my area, and there is one that I do participate in that I would love to advertise. I'm not sure how much use such a forum would get, but I figured it was worth throwing it out there.

I know that the charity events here are listed as tournaments. Couldn't you create the event as a tournament so people can see it.

However, a forum is a good idea to let people know you posted the tournament.

Wow...I was completely oblivious to the existance of that board, and I now see that it's linked three times on the main page. Perhaps we need to better promote the tournament promotion board?

Seriously, though, I'll make sure I post any of these coming up. I believe we have a big charity event in the middle of the summer here every year that is quite a draw, and then we have the small one in the fall that I like to participate in.
