Im really excited even though I dont have it yet, but I know its coming. I've played around with one of these, and its been a long time coming as my current bag is okay, but frustrating at times. Its a "Bag Boy Revolver Pro", although my friends are already punking me.... with some variations on the name that might be offensive to list here - but you can use your own imagination.
EDIT: wrong picture

Pretty sweet bag, man... I'm sure you've seen the one I'm getting elsewhere on the forums here... it shipped a couple days ago, so hopefully I'll have it by the end of this week!

I'm in love with my Ogio Kingpin. I just wish there was room for a microwave.

Looks like Ogio's are a favorite, but I can understand with all of the choices they have. A very nice bag indeed! Chris I especially like the style/color choice of yours with the plaid going on. It gives it a kind of old school look to it - nice choice!
I looked at the Ogio's, but I had some specific issues that I wanted to address with the new bag purchase. This will be my third bag over the past twelve years and here are some of the frustrations/concerns that should go away now - I hope.
1) Club organization (frustration/pace of play): I find that when Im playing (especially in a group) that Im constantly fishing for the right club as I never can seem to put the club back in the same slot. What usually happens is that I end up with two clubs in one slot, and of course my wedge is buried treasure that not even GÇ£Captain HookGÇ¥ could find (IGÇÖm GÇ£General SliceGÇ¥). With this bag all of my clubs will stay in an organized order with easy access speeding up my club selection.
2) Club protection (concern/ frustration/pace of play): All of my clubs have graphite shafts, and I have neoprene covers for the heads on the irons. When Im playing I keep the covers on during the round as I four wheel my way from rough to rough so that the heads donGÇÖt nick the shafts or club heads. The problem is that they can be a pain having to take them off, find a place to put them during the shot, and then put them back on when finished (maybe anal). The new bag holds each club in place so I can take them off before the round.
Another thing is that I leave my pull cart attached to the bag when Im finished, and then load the whole thing into my car trunk on its side. What happens is that I have to angle the club head portion in first and the clubs slide out a bit and catch the trunk. Then Im trying with one hand to hold the bag/cart and push the clubs back in to clear the trunk GÇô Oh the frustrations! No more!
There are some other cool features with this that will save me time and frustration, but these were the main painsGǪ

They sound like legitimate concerns to me. Clubs are expensive....you have to take care of them.
On a side note, I also keep my cart attached to my bag...too much of a pain otherwise. However, when I load the whole thing into my trunk, I actually have to take my woods out in order for it to fit. The woods go on top once the rest is in the trunk.

I don't have a push cart (nor do I really want one... I just want to walk...)
I agree about the colour of the bag... kind of mixing an old school pattern with new technologies and such.
Check out www.13thgreen.com .. that's where I got it. They have a ton of stuff with old school patterns (lots of plaid and argyle, i think some houndstooth too) but in modern styles. Works great for guys like me... love golf but not a fan of the "geeky" styles the old men wear

Go play! Then report back with how the new bag was on the course. Mine will arrive next Tues., and then I'll be off on a short vacation playing 18 in the Missouri Ozarks! (Yay - need a vacation!)

I just got back! I love my new bag... much more comfortable, more pockets, the drink holder is absolutely wonderful... and I tied my all time best score (If my 1st putt on 9th hole hadn't hit a friggin divot, it would have beat my all time best..)

Great score! You did well on the par 4's (which seem to be my downfall). I always check my line for ball marks and crud - Ive had too many putts hop or veer because of some un-thoughtful that doesnt fix his/her ball mark. I'll even go as far as to fix other ball marks if I see one.
I play my regular nine tomorrow morning at the butt crack of dawn. I've been the leader scoring for the past two weeks (not saying much though), so I have to keep it up and better my 47 of last week.
Wish me luck!

Nice round man; I hope you can continue to play at least as well as you did yesterday.
Does your new golf bag have the double shoulder strap system? My Nike bag does and I absolutely love it; wouldn't want to go back to carrying a bag with a single shoulder strap. Because the double shoulder strap evens the load on my shoulders, I have relatively no strain on my back while walking. This enables me to enjoy walking golf courses.
