The color-coding is nice, but circles and squares might be easier to read (especially for any color-blind golfers on the site). Two circles for eagle; three for albatross (or better!). Two squares for double-bogey; three for triple-bogey or more.

(And, yes, I spelled bogey with a 'y'.) Wink

Personally I like the colors. I think the squares and circles would make it look too cluttered.

True. From a user interface perspective, it doesn't help a color blind situation, but the colors do look nice. Maybe darker and lighter shades of two different colors for over and under par. Confused I guess I still haven't gotten used to the current color scheme.

Maybe if most of my scores were pars it would be easier. Smile

The developers could probably come up with a light background image on top of the color coding to accomplish this. I agree that it may be too cluttering, so making the circles/squares lighter in color, it might give enough of a visual cue without being too disruptive. Just a thought.

When I am the scorekeeper, I mark the card with 0 or 1 or -1 as this makes it easy to see pars, bogies and birdies at a glance, like the color coding does. Adding up the score is much quicker too, just count a few ones or twos and add it to 36. I can total a card in 5 seconds, while the next guy is adding 5 plus 4 plus 7 plus 4 etc. The circles and squares are done by people who choose to write the exact number of strokes, like the fellow said it just creates a lot of clutter.
