You can currently use mobile.oobgolf.com on your iphone. The only reason we haven't submitted this, is because a better more tailored for iphone interface is in the works.

Now that the iPhone SDK is available can we expect a native iPhone app for oobgolf which wouldn't require data connectivity on the course, but allow you to enter your scores locally, then sync with oobgolf.com when connected?

I can't say too much, but we might be interested in talking to some iPhone testers...

I just bought an iPhone 3G. i was a loyal Treo user for several years, and as such... used IntelliGolf.

I love everything about your site, but it would be even better if i could...
1. keep score for multiple players. this would include any side bets like wolf, etc.
2. track tee shot distance.
3. i have a data connection, but sometimes it's faster to use a built-in app.

can you update us on your plans for an iPhone app?

oobgolf has a developers api that allows device manufacturers and developers (think iPhone) tap into our system. There are a few iPhone applications in development. Here is one that is looking for testers:

Whenever I go to search for a course nothing seems to happen. You can see the command being sent, but there are no results coming back. Has anyone else experienced this too or am I doing something wrong?

This is from smartscorecard or from oobgolf.com's course finder? What type of web browser are you using?

Yea, that web app definitely does not work for me. A native app would rock!

I am not sure if I should add to this area or start a new post.

Are there any plans for a Blackberry native application?

We really need an app for the BB Storm. No other way to enter scores or really use the site at all

Has there been any progress to your testing? Is there a downloadable app for iphone/itouch that we can sync with our profiles on oobgolf?

It would really help my hole by hole score tracking. Currently I just save my scorecard and enter the total round online when i get home. I have not actually done it hole by hole out of pure lazyness. If there was an app on my itouch I could score as I go along and keep track of GIR, Fairways hit, etc, as well as hole by hole scoring.

I downloaded the ViewTi N as an app but I have yet to try it on the course

A couple cool features for the oobgolf app would be
Multi person scoring (to keep track of the whole 4some). And some basic betting game interfaces

I know im asking for a lot, but i just kind of went off on a tangent.
