Hi I am Phillip, and I will be in town for business in Cupertino, CA. I'd like to go to a driving range or short course for some practice in Cupertino. Suggestions?

More importantly, after my business is over, I will be driving to the Central Coast to visit family in San Luis Obispo and was looking for a place to stop along the way and play a round of 18. I would love some recommendations.

FYI, I am fairly new to golf, been playing about 4 months now, shoot in the 120s (but working on it!), so I would prefer a course with a nice location (seaside?) and fun vs. one that is super challenging.

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Wow, there are a lot of really good (but challenging & costly) courses on the Monterey Peninsula as you probably know.

For a seaside location, you can't beat Pacific Grove. Same views as the big guys, but not "as" expensive. You can also go inland slightly and play the Del Monte course, pretty flat with good greens, a decent challenge.

When you're down in San Luis, you can't beat Moro Bay Golf course. On the water, beautiful views, doesn't cost an arm & a leg.

I will definitely give pacific grove a call, and see if I have tim to stop by Morro Bay. It sounds pretty awesome.

Thanks again....
