DougE,

What about the Cobra Baffler? Doesn't look like a wood at address at all.

Matt

I have looked at the Cobra Baffler in the past, but I was not much of a Cobra fan in general at the time. I may take another look at the new 2010 Baffler Rail. In the pics I've seen of it, it has some nice features.

Thanks for your reply.

DougE: check out the Bobby Jones hybrids. They're not that "wood-like" in fact they have a bit of the old tri-metal look (same designer). I swear by them. Great from the fairway, tight lies or rough.

I was almost sold on these hybrids a few years ago when there were many infomercials running on The Golf Channel about them. Then when I saw them close up I thought they looked too much like a 7 wood. (I know, I'm a head case.) I would like to try them out though because the infomercials had me thinking I couldn't go wrong.

As much as I like Golf Galaxy, which is here in town, I miss the local Golfer's Warehouse that went out of business here a couple seasons ago. I used to demo anything I wanted for free, just by putting down a CC number while I tried them out for a week. They had the Bobby Jones, but I never tried them. Can I try out one of yours? Very Happy

@DougE. If you'll pay for shipping, I'd be glad to let you try out my 19 deg Bobby Jones hybrid. I don't use it since it overlaps with my 3 wood.

My 25 deg Bobby Jones is my go-to club. In two years I used it so much I wore down the grip & replaced it and the shaft.
