I tested out multiple drivers for the last few months. I am coming from an r7 SuperQuad so my obvious feeling was to look at TM. What I personally found was the TM felt too light and bit flimsy. I didnt really like it all. After trying several clubs, I actually ended up going with the Nike VR Str8 Fit (8.5*) and just finally tested it out on Saturday and was very happy with the choice. This is coming from a person who loathed Nike clubs up until these past few months.

I had all TM's in my bag (driver, 3 wood, irons) and first picked up the VR driver about a month ago and just yesterday switched to the VR irons. Personally, I think you should give the VR a try (or even that square headed one, but i'm not so much a fan of it...the Machspeed, even though its supposed to go further). I honestly have to say that the adjustability of the VR really gave me a huge boost of confidence. I would give that a shot.

Second my list is the Cobra S2 driver. I only demoed it but it felt really good. Lastly, the new Ping i10 driver is really nice and the only reason I didnt go with that one was because I couldnt adjust the head like the Nike and Cobra. If I could, that would have probably been my club of choice...

My wife bought me a SuperTri for my birthday recently. She asked me was it ok for her to buy me a club, how can you turn that down heh? lol...

Anyway, I'm usually between regular and stiff and normally can hit a regular flex shaft fine. Well, the regular shaft that comes with the SuperTri is incredibly light, 60 grams, and that combined with less weight in the head, compared to the SuperQuad, makes for a very light club. Really had a problem hitting it with that configuration. Ended up buying a NV-65 Stiff shaft and it hits a little better, but still not as good as my SuperQuad. I've not quite given up on it yet, but I've been really disappointed in it so far.
