i have been a member of oobgolf for about 2-3 months. I was steered here from an iPhone app that Ive been using to track my stats.

Ive been golfing off and on for about 12 years, more off than on, until the last year or so.

I am about a 27 handicap currently. I have been striking the ball really well and started getting lessons again. I plan on staying away from the course for about 8 weeks while the pro Im working with regrooves my swing, and I have hit enough balls on the range to establish enough muscle memory so Im not having to think about hitting my marks.

Oh, I guess I should add that I am 28 yrs. old, married, with no kids. Just moved to Tulsa about a year and a half ago for work. I am a service manager at a large plumbing company.

Hey man thanks for the add! Definitely let me know if you are in Fayetteville and we will definitely go play! I had two lessons to start and spend pretty much all of Sept and Oct on the range then didn't play much over the winter and getting back into it. I just got my weighted driver and I have 12 grams in the heel, 6 in the center, and 2 on the toe...seems to definitely help with my slice, however my distance has suffered. I am still hitting between 180-220 and with my old driver (srixon zrw 11 degree) I was hitting 220-280 sometimes but not consistent...I miss the distance but consistently having a playable ball is nice. I think part of it may be adjusting to a lower loft (10.5 degree). I am trying to spend more time on the range...but man it is hard to stay off the course hahaha. How are you liking Tulsa? Been to the hard rock...it is pretty nice!
