Ok, so quite a few people have said they'd be interested in having an oobgolf tournament. After thinking about it, I believe the best place to have the 1st annual would be at the main 2 guys home course. Just my opinion. I'd be willing to fly out to participate, anyone else? oh and I believe we are talking about Penn, right kevin/andy? If not, let us know.
so now the questions, who is going to participate, when do we have it, and where exactly (meaning course)?? Suggestions welcome.
I'd like to see the tournament at the end of the season, Sept or early Oct. Just my opinion, plus this gives us time for the setup and organizing needed.

yes i would like to play in the 1st oob tournament. the only thing that would stop me would be a prior commitment, so hopefully we will pick a good date!

Penn? As in Pennsylvania? Geez, could you pick a spot further from La.? I would love to play but thats a little far. Maybe we can coordinate different events in different states.

I'll think about it...
Just kidding. PA (Penn?) sounds good. Makes sense for Kevin and I. Maybe we'll have to do a couple. San Diego, Louisana, and ... NORWAY?!

If you want a smaller, more intimate event then a single location is the way to go.
If you were to hold a "national" event, you would certainly get more players...if that's your intent.
I happen to know the gentleman that was contracted to organize and execute the golf.com Golfserve Advantage national championship (complete with live leaderboard and valuable prizes) whereby he has a patent on his mathematical matrix that accounts for conditions (weather, etc.)on different courses in different states that the the USGA course rating does not account for.
Feel free to shoot me an email if you want to investigate this in more depth.
Unfortunately, my aggressive work/ social/ travel schedule might make it tough for me to fly to Penn...as much as I would like to attend.

sufficient notice will probably make it attractive for me to play in. penn/md is probably fine.
can we agree on cost ahead of time too? i know organization will be costly, but since this is a free site for an expensive game, i think it's reasonable to assume that most people here would not like to spend more than $100.

we need a date to be set and hopefully I'll have that within a month. As far as where it will be, I would prefer somewhere relatively close to a large airport, for not only the flights but also lodging. I'll have to get with Kevin and Andrew about that.
As far as cost I would prefer to keep it around the $100 range. We do need to try to get some stuff for prizes, any ideas are welcome.
any ideas, suggestions, comments you can email me at nicholasmroz@yahoo.com
I'll do my best to keep everyone updated on here. I finishing up my move to Las Vegas and have been busy, so busy I can't even golf Anyways, hope all is well and scores are low.
