September is now over and no Droid app from Oobgolf yet. GolfCard still has the best functionality. I've checked all the other apps mentioned here and not one of them will keep up-and-down stats. I find this quite amazing since it shouldn't be hard to do and is considered one of the most important stats in golf. I think as GolfCard's course database expands they will dominate again.

Hey guys- thanks for the patience. We are getting close. I think we'll have some news in the next week or so. Admittedly- it's taking a little longer than expected. Andriod has a lot of extra kinks in it because of different devices, screens, etc. We were also learning the development process from scratch.
But no- we are not just blowing smoke. We have been working diligently on it- and like I said- should have something real soon.
As far as YourGolf not working-- I know nothing about that. They've given us no word that it wouldn't/shouldn't still work. I'll look into it.
Thanks,

@Kickntrue: have you guys seen the appinventor thing google is beta testing to help with creating andriod apps? You're probably too far a long for it to help, but it looks like it could at least help get a good framework going.

The idea behind AppInventor is okay-ish, but the whole thing just isn't ready for prime time.
First off the bat, the apps it creates are enormous and slow (the very first example in the manual just shows a picture and makes a sound when you touch it. That alone takes more than 1 MByte).
Second, you can't release AppInventor apps in the market because signing is a problem.
Third, it generates binary, not source. That means you can't use it as a "framework" to drop into existing code.
Fourth, it is restricted in numerous ways. For example, you can only create apps that use a single screen layout. Further more, it can't freely connect to any database, let alone use the API oobgolf provides.
AppInventor may be usable to create quick and dirty GUI prototypes with but that's about it.
Having said that, creating Android apps the usual way really isn't that hard, you just need to get used to the API and the way the runtime environment works. I keep wondering though what is taking so long - it's a fairly straightforward and simple application, even a generically educated intern could do it within a couple of weeks.

Sounds like AppInventor by Google is as big a PITA as Publisher was for HTML.

GolfCard's new update has finally fixed the up-and-down stat. It is now the best, most complete, app out there. When thier course database catches up it will be the ultimate

The problems I have with this app is scoring for other players. If I could upload the entire 4-some to OOB that would be great. Also, I would like to be able to easily enter putts for the other golfers. Currently you can only add putts for the 'owner'
