My girl drove ahead of me the other day. She was going to the group ahead of us to apologize for a monster hit onto the green while they were putting. Only problem was, I waited until they cleared it and proceeded to pull my shot right OVER her cart.

That was a day where my new clubs were MUCH longer than anticipated. Must be the lessons and the new clubs, but I've added almost 20 yards to my mid-irons and 30 to my driver.

If I'm playing with people I don't know (hardly ever happens) I wait a few holes to see their competence level before I decide if I'm going to move ahead.

Knowing my own competence level, I don't suggest anyone move ahead.

Otherwise, there isn't a whole lot that bothers me enough to effect my shot.

?? In my book, you don't ever walk ahead. Ever. Just maybe, maybe if you are 60 yards at their backside you could go ahead 20 yards. Otherwise you are in sight and potentially, in line of play. Even the slight potential is enough to make it a thought, and I know several better pre-shot thoughts than "just select a shot that doesn't hit him". (Hands up who hasn't ever hit a sh*nk...)

Normally i don't mind playing with people i don't know and love meeting new people, but the most recent pair really made me rethink that. I don't think they had any inkling of what golf balls do when you actually hit them. I'm not entirely sure how they find their shots, blind luck maybe? I mean, i was spraying drives 30 yds VISIBLY out of bounds and they're like "you'll probably find it i think it's in". Seriously? Not only were they no help with watching the ball, they were no help looking for it either. Yea thanks guys.
