So what kind of socks wear with shorts? I wear calf high socks.
I can't bring myself to wear the girly ankle socks.
Yes, I look stupid and all the cool kids snicker...but I just...can't...do...it!

For me, it's all about the tan line. I look pretty stupid on the beach with my golfer's tan! So I wear ankle socks.

I wear the "no show" socks. I've always worn them... goes back to the days when I was a runner.

lol....back when I was a runner, we were forced to wear knee high socks with green stripes (school colors) with those skimpy track shorts. Ugh. Glad no one has any pictures of THAT.

AMEN Bjohn. I hated those shorts as well. Thankfully they didn't make us wear the big socks.
I'm an ankle sock/no show wearer. Tan lines suck.

I splurged on a 6-pack of Nike dri-fit ankle socks and it was the best purchase I've ever made in golf. Hands down.

ATTENTION MEN! Please wear "no show" socks with your golf shoes. Anything over the ankle is just goofy. It's just my opinion but you know opinions are like assholes....everyone's got one.

Not just a lady's opinion, I couldn't agree more. It's just plain silly to see those long socks with shorts. Especially in combination with a couple of very white legs

Anything over the ankle looks dorky. Mine barely show above my golf shoes. Maybe a half inch. I wear white Footjoy ones with either of my two pair of predominately white shoes. Black ones with my black shoes.I chuckle to myself when I see guys wearing full socks with shorts. Obviously, fashion is not on their priority list.

You know...it was actually my nephew, who was nine at the time, who pointed out how dorky I looked with socks that went just above my ankles.
The other funny thing is that I tend to not notice how people dress even though I feel like the better I look, the better I perform (on and off the course).

Golfers are like assholes too. My wife just today after missing a shot exclaimed "I'm an asshole" and there was nothing I could do about it.

My Army outfit had a mule for a mascot. One day it died and another private and I were assigned the task of burying it. The other guy asked me how deep we needed to dig a hole to bury a donkey. I said it's not a donkey , it's a mule. We argued about it for a while, when the Chaplain came by, so we asked him to settle it for us. He said "Well boys, according to scripture, It's an ASS". We continued to dig, and then a female lieutenant walked up and asked "Hey, what are you boys doing?, Digging a foxhole?" I said "Not according to scripture"
