Started lessons last year as a blank canvas, had about 20 half-hour lessons and played my first nine-hole round in February this year (scored 58, inaccurately).

Best accurately scored round is 56 (over nine holes, thought I'd best explicitely confirm that!)

Only played 18 holes once, and hacked round with 124.

No birdies yet, but about half-a-dozen GIRs and three (or is it four) pars.

So, an unofficial handicap of 31.7.

Still, thoroughly enjoying myself. On with the lessons (with references to Denis Pugh and other YouTube clips).
