My 2 cents are:
starting the club on higher plane in the first 1/2 of the takeaway. I think a steeper takeaway could eliminate some of the needed moves or timing that happen in order to get the club into your downswing plain at the top.

yea i've really been fighting that. I was so far inside and so flat (the lateral hip movement you were mentioning) before it actually feels like i'm taking it back to the OUTSIDE when i'm down the line or a little inside. I think with work i'm going to be able to stop that initial movement.

My posture has become more angled rather than rounded too. In the older swing, i was actually hunched a little and curving from my lower back, in the new swing, my shoulders are back and spine more strait to handle the rotation i'm making. It's really helped and while i still have some "unnecessary" moves, there's a lot fewer than there has been. Smile Thanks for the look!

So further in the year. i've applied changes here and there, and i think i'm finally worked out. I know i'm never going to be a picture perfect singer, it's just about minimizing my misses when they happen. My always be a touch open to clear my hips still, but i'm comfortable with that. This is the latest comparison of takeaway and downswing planes. I'm really happy with what's finally gone on. I think the weird thing is that in the older swing on the left (older being relative) my fiancée was taping from a little behind me (left of target line) and i'm STILL that far flayed out with the clubhead. amazing i could even deliver to the ball. blue is takeaway and red is downswing.

Well that's it for right now. Just the normal stuff, keeping the head down, full extension and all that but concentrating on where the hands are and getting this swing plane memorized by all parties involved.

So, i've been grinding away on things. I decided to look at the practice footage in great scrutiny and see what's been going on and see what has been going on. I've been really really close a lot of times to breaking par, only to have the swing fall apart at the most inopportune times so i thought: there's got to be one small thing that i'm missing. I may have found it, thanks to my wife/caddy Marie (foodisabirdie). Especially with my driver, but pretty much with every club. I spent the major time to fix the big stick because lately that is what is getting me into trouble.

Notice left to right - 2 years ago, end of last week, a year ago then Just yesterday (i got them out of order when i stacked it and i'm too lazy to fix it at this point). Even last week's is at the wrong perspective and should look better - which tells you how bad it's gotten in the drift. The position of my head and hands is completely different in yesterday's image. Slightly more back towards middle, and my hands are pressed more forward and away from the center of my stance. I'm so much more square now. Because of this, I've completely overhauled my preshot routine and setup/alignment to make it much easier to get into the proper position. The way i was doing it before put my left wrist in a very concave position, and left my shoulders pointing left - which lead to the pulls that i've been struggling with for a while now.

Score one for grinding. Now all i gotta do is keep my feet on the ground and my head down. So far so good.

3 things i can see without a high speed being able to look at the video how id like. from the front i notice u slide threw the ball. this is throwing your spine angle off. a really good tip for this is put something like a chair just left of ur left hip just outside of ur left foot(you wont hit it on ur fallow threw i promise haha) so u stop sliding threw and do more of a turn. this is a very powerful move.

from the back i notice you take the club inside and have a really flat swing, a less inside intakeaway will help promote a less flat swing. hands should be about your right shoulder at the top which will also help you come into the ball from a better angle and hit that "slot" your supose to.

Good eyes. Those were the very problems earlier. Everything has been going swimmingly as of late since all the fixes have taken hold. Working on the putting stroke revamp these days.
