So my question is about choosing a sand wedge to hit out of greenside bunkers.
I have several different wedges at home. Currently, I use two different sand wedges. One of the sand wedges I use has very little bounce and someone of a sharp sole. It is great for hitting gout of deep rough. The other one is more blunt on the sold with a lot of bounce. It is great for hitting out of greenside bunkers. The issue is that I now have five wedges in my bag. A 45* PW, a 50* GW, two 55* SW's, and a 60* LW. I've stayed within the club limit by getting rid of one of my distance clubs that I rarely hit anyway.
When I hit the heavy bounce wedge out of the rough, I have a hard time getting through the rough to make good contact with the ball. When I hit the low bounce wedge out of the sand, I tend to go underneath the ball and flub my shots.
Anyone else with this issue? Any possible solutions? Or am I just destined to be the weirdo that has five wedges in his bag?

the only thing I know is that I have been playing with eidolon wedges that i have and I really enjoy having the 2 different bounce angles to accomplish what you are asking. However, that said if you can accomplish your complete game with the 5 wedges and the 1 missing long club then there is nothing wrong with that.

Do you mean you have two different clubs with different bounce angles? Or do Eidelons have some magical properties that make it possible to have two different bounce angles on a single club?

Eidolon wedges have two different sole angle to create 2 different angles of bounce. so you can play the regular off the grass or rough lies and also out of sand. Check out the wedge guy and Eidolon wedges.

I know that Eidelon wedges are highly customizable. They are on my wish list, but I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more golf equipment at least until my vacation in January is paid for.
But just to be clear, you're talking about two different clubs when you talk about two different bounce angles, right? The reason why I ask is simply because the low bounce angle sand wedge in my bag is an instrumental distance club for me. The high bounce angle sand wedge in my bag is strictly for hitting out of bunkers. I'm trying to piece together how that would all be possible in one club.

Ahh...gotcha. Now I know what the heck that V-Sole thing that Terry is always talking about is:)
Okay, now I really want one. Or three.

A 45* pitching wedge is more like an iron than a wedge anyways innit.

True dat. I tend to call my 45* club a pitching iron simply due to that fact. It drives my playing partner nuts.

I know...I just about pulled the trigger on a lob wedge yesterday, but I just can't right now. I've spent WAY too much on golf gear this year. And even worse, I'm looking at needing to upgrade my irons again in the near future. I need something that will take a clean divot, and the set I have currently definitely was not made to do that.

Got my shipping notification from UPS today. My new set of Eidolons are on the way.
Got a 50, a 55, and a 60. I seriously thought about going with a PW as well, and going 47, 51, 55, and 60. But I decided to stick with the 46* pitching wedge that I've upgraded to since I started this thread.
Thanks a lot Travis for all of the extra information. I'll make sure I let Terry know that you sold a set of clubs for him:)

Would be good to see a couple of sand swings on video. I've heard that the Eidolon wedges are great, hit em good! Also what sort of sand are you hitting out of? White/brown, coarse/fine, deep/shallow?
