The reason I want more use of plus and minus buttons is that it’s quicker to use.

Projected score does calculate score based on 18 holes even when 9 holes is selected

Our testing shows that entering the number for stats is faster than the +/-. This seems to be because most of the time it requires less button presses. For example for all score entries it is 2 button presses. Where with +/- it would require 3 button presses to enter a double bogie. This approach also standardizes the entry across stats that could never be +/- such as distance off tee or made putt distance.

I am not saying we won't change this, but right now we are getting a lot of results and feedback that says the number entry is better than +/-.

However, we do agree that the scrolling stats like club off tee need to be changed.

I don't belive that number of clicks i always relevant to how much time you would spend. It's faster to click twice on the same location than clicking two places that are at separate locations.
I would have clicked atleast two times on the plus button before the numberpad would be rendered. For players with more pars than double bogie's, plus and minus buttons would be preferred. What you could do is to have a setting that said use plus and minus buttons.
Stats like chips, sand shots, O.B. and penalty strokes are very often 1 when registered. This will be entered faster with plus and minus signs.

In terms of Fairway I hope you can add more functionality to the miss button. If clicked once miss, if twice missed long, if three times missed short. This way the player can set long or short if the player wants.

I really hope that we atleast get plus and minus buttons as an options through settings.

Less button presses maybe but more finger movements. And that, on a mobile phone in high light intensities, is a bad interface IMHO.

Anyway, how is the Android version coming?

Nice to see that Oobgolf now have implemented my suggestion about using minus and plus buttons. I think the new interface is much faster and with less flashing.
