I will be out in Long Beach Calf in Feb.I will be there for 5 days, so that gives me 3 good days of golf. If any one knows a must play course in that area I would love to hear about it. I am willing to travel a couple of hrs but not much more than that.
Thanks.

Sorry I couldn't help you. I only played one course in Long Beach, it was right next to the airport, it was forgettable.

Oops! I just now noticed this thread. I hope its not too late. I have played Sky Links in the "LBC". It's pretty nice. PGA tour player Paul Goydos is from LB and has been known to play Sky Links. It's by the Long Beach airport, probably the same one Merlin referred to. Yeah it's forgettable, but then again so is everything in that Long Beach/north Orange County area.

15-20 minutes south of there, in Huntington Beach is a small muni called Meadowlark, where you can get a lesson from the guy who coached Tiger Woods in his high school years.

Thanks guys, I will be out there Feb.18th thru Feb 21st. I found a few that is within about a hour drive that looked cool. One that I really liked was called Rustic Canyon( I think that what it was called)I am going out there to meet up with some old friends and try to get away from some of this cold weather.
But if you think of one that is a must I would love to hear about it.

Yes It was Sky links. I don't remember anything about it except parring the first hole. I do remember two courses in San Diego that I would love to play again if I get out there. Torrey Pines and Balboa Park. Great courses.

I used to play a course call Rec Park in Long Beach when I was in college at LB State. As I remember it wasn't too bad.
