I'm braggin today as me and my golfing partner (Junior) went fishing the last couple of days and I finally caught what I consider to be a monster largemouth. In addition to golf (he always kicks my a$$), we compete in little fishing tournaments (just him and I) every week when we go out of town. He'll never hear the last of this one. click here to see my fishy www.rivercityhackers.com. Anyone else out there fish? If so, where and for what?

If by fishing you mean putting out a couple lines and trolling for whatever bites near the inlet, that's me. lol I don't know what I'm doing but every now and then I take out the jon boat, let out a couple trolling lines, and cruise slowly back and forth and hope to get something to eat for dinner.
Now something else I do love, and tho you catch fish doing it, not sure it's technically fishing, is flounder gigging. Rig up the boat with a couple lights and head out at night and pole along the intracoastal waterway spearing any legal flounder you spot as well as netting some blue crabs. It's quite peaceful and alot of fun.

A few years ago, I was fishing next to an old bridge, and hooked something which, like you, I thought might be a stump or something. I put on my swim mask and hung over the side of the boat to see what it was. I had hooked a huge bass that had swam inside a car which I guess had run off the bridge some time in the past. It was the biggest bass I had ever seen, so I got in the water and swam down to get it untangled from the car. I never did get that fish though, because when I got close, the fish rolled the window up.

Last time I went fishing all I caught was a hangover. Fishing to me is just a good excuse to get hammered. Like I need a good excuse for that.

yikes! Very nice, but where are the largemouth photos?
Ever fish at Clearlake?
p.s. Is this a personal boat or guided? If guided, you should give a discount to oobgolfers
