Going to be back in Phoenix again next week. Looking forward to getting away from the wind and humidity.

Its now monsoon season here. Armpit season. Triple digits for the last couple days. Scattered strong t-storms. Mugginess all the time. I'm looking forward to fall/winter golf. Already I got a pretty bad farmers tan and its pissing me off. If it keeps up like this then summer is going to be sort of an off season for me.

We have been lucky in SC with a mild spring, but it is about to go nuts this weekend forecast 106 tomorrow, 108 sat, 104 sunday...

So naturally as a golf addict and idiot I have this plan to take tomorrow off from work, meeting some pals to put in 36 tomorrow. First tee time 8:24 so hopefully morning will not be bad. I have a feeling there may be some guys not going to do the second round..

We have been in the 70s and 80s lately, awesome for Bakersfield.
We're into the 90s now, back into the 100+ range next week... enjoying it while I can.

it's soooooo humid. You can't even get away from it in the A/C. It's horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I was in Phoenix last week. I sat out in the shade on my hotel room's balcony reading a book in the 112 degree heat without batting an eye. That's nothing compared to this crap. When you go outside, you are instantly sticky and slimy. I hate it.

Right now, it's 91 with a heat index of 102. Yesterday, the high was 97 with a heat index of 113.

Did I mention that the wind was gusting 20-25 mph?

I hate Fargo.

Things seem different right now. I've been golfing hard core, year round for a few years now. I walked many rounds in the heat the past few summers. But the past few weeks, guess I'm getting older, the walking the course in the hot sun has been really tough. I like to carry the bag but actually considering a push cart. Seems like a pain to keep up with though.

The other thing that is different, is that I am noticing the golf ball traveling further now. I'd always heard that it goes further in summertime, but wow I am noticing it now. Maybe my ball striking is better too so it's real ball travel not knuckleball junk. But after a few rounds of accidentally hitting the golf ball over the green I started going at least a club less in situations and still getting it there. I'm not a long hitter and not trying to brag or anything, I just think that I'm noticing the impact the weather can have on ball flight carry finally.

I has been in the upper 90's with index in the lower 100's. Some very humid days.

Yea, it goes further in the hot steamy weather. I am almost an average hitter in 90+ weather. Played today with the temperature around 101 at the start and the heat index several degrees higher. Walking and playing was not the real problem. Constantly wiping the drips out of the eyes and wet gloves/grips was the issue.

Obscenely hot today and tomorrow: 103 forecasted (actual temp, not heat index) for both days. HOWEVER, it's supposed to be in the 80s ALL NEXT WEEK. WOOHOOOO!!!

Pretty poor over here. Lots of rain. I've heard of greens being under water and so the course in question closed.

Same here, lots and lots of rain (expected 5 inches today) and wind, temperatures are pretty good for playing though at 65 - 70.
