Hello all,

My name is Ben, this seems to be an awesome site. The stat tracking is great. I'm from Kapolei,Hawaii and retired from the Army at Ft. Benning, GA. Jan 2009.

Anyone play in the Columbus, GA and Huntsville, AL area? I play 4 times a week and am looking for fellow golf addicts to play with, send me a message if you are up for a round. Usualy play in the Benning "DOG FIGHT" on weekends and during weekday's in Huntville, AL.

Oobgolf has been a great resource of fun and appreciate the articles. Looking forward to more greatness from oobgolf.

Ft Benning and Huntsville is quite a combo to pick up.

I'm now a contractor for a company here in Huntsville, and I go home for the weekends. Lot's of highway miles...

I just read the last message that said you travel on the weekends so golf travel probably isn't in the cards for you, huh? If you get the itch, Ft. Gordon and Ft. Jackson have some great golf... Augusta shouldn't be too far for you but Columbia might be getting a little long. I was stationed at Gordon and lived in Columbia for several years so know both courses pretty well. Some very good golf for the $$$!

I'm a little late to these forums, but Ben, it's great to have you on-board. Also, thanks for being brave enough to have served and talented enough to teach. (I'm former Air Force, myself.)

Hey Ben,

I was stationed at Benning many years ago ('99-'00). Got my only hole in one there. Do they still have 36 holes on post, or did they ever complete the renovation they were planning? Good luck and hit 'em straight.
