My last round in an unusual golf-heavy week was my worst yet. 88. Took a penalty stroke. Terrible ballstriking, low weak toe hooks and big flares to the right. The long rough around the greens ate me up. My lob wedge was beggin for mercy by the end of the round. I must've hit that club on almost every hole.
My ballstriking sucks right now. That is what happens when you are cavalier and think you can play great without practicing. My grip is kind of a mess right now. A random guy I played with in Florida few months ago gave me some advice on my grip and I was stupid enough to take heed. I think it's why I'm not trusting my grip right now and it's also fuking up my swing. I mean, I beat this old guy by a few strokes, why the hell should I take stock in his advice? I think he was sort of a hater and gaming me actually. But its really on me, i can be very gullible sometimes. I gotta sort out my grip, and get to trusting it again and so hopefully swing with some freedom and confidence again.

Shot a 38 from the tips at my home practice course today (par 32). That includes a triple on hole 4 (the one par 5) because I couldn't get it out of the mucky swamp in front of the green (and I wasn't willing to backtrack 70 yards to take an incidental water drop). Easily my best round ever, and it was because I was chipping well and sinking some putts.

I've worked on my game enough, and I've studied enough on what I should be doing, to know that I just don't take random advice from strangers on the golf course. And your cap is quite a bit higher than mine, so hopefully this is a lesson learned from you.
Of course, when I shoot poorly, I look for any excuse I can find to blame it on. It's never my fault:)

Keep it up Duke.
When you break it, you'll stomp it into the ground like that annoying clown's bright pink ball from the tees behind you.
It took me a while, and I've broken it on one course, 3 or 4 times now. I just have to do it on other courses
Keep on pluggin.

Maybe... but he does have a decent profile etc, tough one.
Maybe is just supplementing his income, to better support his golfing game
I'm going to do the same, but I'm going to offer Golf Courses a deal to revamp their websites for trade. Give me a membership, and I'll look after your website.
All the courses around me have the suckiest websites.
Lets see how that flies.

if you'd truly do a good job, they'd be stupid not to take that deal. Nothing worse than a sucky website - nomatter what your business is.

Yeah. Its all I have done for 14 years now... so I hope I dont do a bad job lol. I want to get to know people and not just be an outsider to offer anyways. I want to be a helper from inside.
Anyways, didn't want to get that off topic.
Today I'm going to my home club, going to play a round with my brother, in prep for club champs sunday. I hope I can dial the course in.
96 is my best... but not sure what the flights will be. It might require my best score to come close if its a 20+ flight.

Good luck, gpickin. Also, good business idea. Most golf course web sites are terrible.

Golf websites are very important. There are a few good ones out there. But I have decided to NOT golf at a lot of courses simply because I couldn't get the information I needed from their website.
A few tips...
Post it on the site when your course opens in the spring and when it closes in the fall.
Post the scorecard including rating and slope information.
Post a complete list of updated rates.
It's not rocket science.
