I will be in the Houston Texas area for the next six months. In the town of lufkin. Would like to play a round with some fine Texas oobgolfers out there. Or steer me in the right direction of recommended courses to visit.

Lufkin is the home of Crown Colony. At one time, rated #2 in the state.

Yes it's public. I took the Learjet in to the Angelina County airport with seven other guys on a little golf outing. The course sent two Suburbans out to pick us up, and after the round they had a big dinner spread out for us. The wonderful hospitality was typical Texan.
