A few weeks ago GlobalGolf had the 2010 tom Watson Adams wedges on sale, so I picked up three (52/56/60) to replace my old Ram X Satin wedges (50/55/60). The Adams wedges definitely have a livelier head and shaft, as the 52 and 56 go about the same distance, or longer than the 50 & 55 respectively.
During the off season I found an old Titleist 980F 5 wood, and put that in the bag and dropped my 4 iron. I got a TM Raylor hybrid 22* last year, but still went back and forth with the 4 iron, which I've now realized is not a club I need being a ~20 handicap.
So I think I've got my gaps about perfect. My biggest gap is between the PW and 52*, but I can choke down on the PW and get about 110 when needed with pretty good consistency.
TM R7 Limited, S flex graph (10.5*) ~260 when I hit it good
McGregor MT 4 wood, S flex graph (16.5*) ~225 off the tee, little less from fairway/rough.
Titleist 980F 5 wood, S100 steel (19*) ~210 off the tee, a little less from the fairway
TM Raylor, R flex graph (22*) ~190 off the tee, a little less from fairway/rough
TM r7 draw irons, steel:
5i: 170-175, 6i: 160-165, 7i: 150-155, 8i: 140-15, 9i: 130-135, PW: 120-15
Adams Tom Watson 2010 Classic grind:
52*: 95-100, 56*: 80-85, 60*: 60-65
Odyssey White Hot Rossie: Deadly accruate from 2 feet and in!
I've been playing the AD333 for a while now.
