Every single time I've been out golfing with my nephew, I am appalled to arrive at the first tee box only to realize that he doesn't have any pockets. The one exception was when we played at a course that had a dress code, but we've gone through it every other time. He always flubs his first tee shot on number one, and I let him hit a second before the round actually "begins". But then he has to walk back to the cart because he has no pockets. Now I, for the life of me, can't figure out how someone could make it through a day without any pockets let alone a round of golf, but whatever. I guess that's the trend for adolescent boys these days.

Now I took my two eldest nieces out golfing for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I had the exact opposite frustration. It took nearly an hour just for them to be able to figure out what they were going to wear. It was like the most important part of the entire experience to them. It's a good thing we were only going to a practice facility and didn't have a tee time. But when we arrived at the course, I guess I counted myself lucky. They both had pockets!

Is there any way we can find a happy medium here?

Give them FANNY PACKS Smile
If they are rainbow, even better.

I bet they never come without pockets again Smile

Oh, now that is perfect.

I'm buying a fanny pack tonight, and it's going in my golf bag. I know it will work because when I was with my nephew and his friends at Valleyfair a couple of weekends ago, I watched him and his friends relentlessly make fun of some poor dude who was wearing one.

And to think...back in the '90's...fanny packs were "in". LOL...and people think that the '80's were bad:)

Glad to be of service Smile
If you find a rainbow one, let me know, my wife loves rainbow brite and would want one too Smile

The funny thing is... in NZ, we call them BUM-BAGS.
That might be because Fanny is a british slang for pussy I guess Smile

So if you tell him that, it would make it worse LOL.

My wife insists that I look "presentable" on the links. She doesn't want me looking like a ragamuffin.
So she shops for me.
Gotta say she has great taste and the quality and comfort is superb.
Mostly Greg Norman, Travis Matthew, Aquascutum stuff with some addidas, cutter/buck and UnderArmor stuff thrown in.
I have no idea how much she pays for the stuff but some of it is the most comfortable clothing I've ever owned.
Lots of pockets to go around.

Gotta say, these jokes in this thread aren't that funny.

lol....maybe if you'd've been there. I'll forever have the memory of my seven-year-old niece coming down in her flower dress and sun-hat with a pair of Croc's sandals proclaiming that she was ready to go golfing.
