I got a set of these bad boys earlier this week. Oh boy, do they look awesome in the flesh.

I'm going to slowly integrate this set into my game. I've taken the pitching wedge to the range (and it actually is a wedge given it's 47* of loft), and I've put it in my bag.

My first impression with the club is that if I hit the sweet spot, oh boy is it awesome. The trajectory is much lower than the lower lofted 46* pitching wedge I replaced it with. And this is using an E5 ball which is made to have a higher trajectory.

But as I said, when I hit the sweet spot, it's pretty awesome. My pitching wedge is my 130 club. This one goes about 135, and if I hit the sweet spot, it will go 135 every time. I determined this by using a friends laser scope and finding a spot that was 130 away from the spot I was using on the range. The balls I hit perfectly all landed in the same spot about five yards beyond the stick. And they all stuck.

So I keep mentioning how I need to hit the sweet spot. That's going to be an issue. About 1 out of 3 hit the sweet spot. And about 1 out of 3 hit close enough to the sweet spot to have a decent result. But that means that 1 out of 3 missed the sweet spot by enough to not have a decent result, but that is the reason why I'm introducing the set one club at a time. I figure if I have to hit over a hazard, I'll do better to bring out my old 9i and swing lighter. But if it's a wide open shot, I'musing this club. We'll see how it turns out.
